As I said in a previous post, I feel I've been lacking in the networking department lately here on Steemit. So, last night while perusing my followees' posts, I fortuitously ran into this post by @lukestokes.

I had never heard of SmartCash before this, and as Luke seemed to be so excited about it, and as I did more research on it, the more I could see that people seem to be really pumped about this coin.

So what is SmartCash?

Luke does a tremendous job of explaining it, as does @crypt0, who says in his video (which I was directed to from Luke's post) that he believes it has the potential to be one of the Top 10 Coins. SmartCash is basically a communal cryptocurrency. This means all the decisions are "community driven", "with a decentralized governance system". I thought this was an interesting idea. It certainly sounds appealing. Apparently I'm not alone in this mindset, as the price has tripled in 1 week.

Also - and I really like this part - if you have 1,000 SC, then on the 25th of each month, you get a bonus called "SmartRewards". It's always 1 month in arrears, though. So, say you had 1,000 SC in your account yesterday, 10/25, then on 11/25 you'll get the bonus, and each month after so long as you continue to have at least 1,000 SC. That's kickass to me. That's a major incentive to invest as far as I'm concerned. So consider me in.

I'm going to keep my eye on it for a while and see where it goes. Personally, I'm going to treat it like a piggy bank for the meantime, tossing a bit into it here and there. I have hope in this coin, so as long as others are of a similar mindset, then it very well could be one of the Top 10 Coins.
