Myanmar Women Part (2)

In Myanmar, after getting married, women do not take the name of their husbands as Europeans do. They used their maiden names given by their parents for life.

ျမန္​မာႏိုင္​ငံတြင္​ အမ်ိဳးသမီးမ်ားသည္​ အ​ေနာက္​ႏိုင္​ငံမ်ားမွာကဲ့သို႔ လက္​ထပ္​ၿပီးပါက ခင္​ပြန္​းသည္​ လင္​​ေယာက်္​ား၏ အမည္​ကို ​ေျပာင္​းလဲခံယူျခင္​း အ​ေလ့မ႐ွိပါ။ မိမိငယ္​စဥ္​က မိဘမ်ား ​ေပးလိုက္​​ေသာ အမည္​ကိုသာ အသက္​ထက္​ဆံုး ခံယူၾကသည္​။
In Myanmar families, they usually wish to get a boy for novitiation as Buddhist, but they love and treat both sexes equally.
ျမန္​မာမိသားစုမ်ားတြင္​ ဗုဒၶဘာသာအရ ႐ွင္​ျပဳရန္​ ​ေယာက်္​ား​ေလးတစ္​ဦး ပါဝင္​လိုၾက​ေသာ္​လည္​း က​ေလး​ေမြးပါက ​ေယာက်္​ား​ေလးျဖစ္​ျဖစ္​၊ မိန္​းက​ေလးျဖစ္​ျဖစ္​ က်ား/မ ခြဲျခားမႈမ႐ွိဘဲ တန္​ဖိုးထားၾကသည္​။
Although the parents concerned are used to choose grooms for their daughters, they do not ignore the wishes of their daughters.
