My Neighborhood Watch #73 - Reporting Events Around us
Greetings fellow steemians, welcome to another news brought to you by @woka-happiness, reporting events happening around us, organized by @xkool24 but OMO ehh this one is not funny.
It is a very sad and unexpected event that happened in the night but we thank God that no live was harmed, no one was inside the building at the time that this happened.
This is a room where a friend of mine rented when they came for practical here in ola Akwanga, ola hospital is one of the most biggest and busiest hospitals in Akwanga Nasarawa state, so many students come to this hospital from far just to carry out their practicals.
Because of that ola has become a more busy and expensive area to live in, the hospital is a well known facility and because of that the community started using ola as a description of the area, and so any student coming for practical would always want to be close to the hospital.
Because of that many landlords made their house rent to be very expensive, well I guess they are doing that purposely because they know that the students need it urgently, many of the students usually come unaware, so they tend to not get a house easily.
When most of them arrive, all the houses with the good structure will be taken and the once that are not really good will be left behind, this happened on Saturday early in the mid morning, or maybe I should just say on Friday night, because she was not around so we do not know the exact time that it happened.
We were placed on night shift, so as usual she prepared and came to work in the evening we were there inside the laboratory together that night all of a sudden breeze started blowing and because of how the hospital was built we didn't even realize that it was a heavy breeze.
Later that night it started raining, usually we are not allowed to be caught pressing our phones during working hours, so that made all of us to always get used to keeping our phones in our bags immediately we arrive in the laboratory, because of that she didn't know when her phone rang.
It was in the morning on Saturday, when we were almost about to leave the hospital and go home that she carried her phone and when she saw the missed call of her neighbor, she was surprised and wondering what could have made her neighbor to call her very early in the morning.
So she called back and to her greatest Surprise she was told that she should hurry back home because her roof had been removed by the heavy breeze😳 OMG I was shocked when she told me this, I felt so bad for her because all her belongings were all socked in water.
She took permission and left because it was not yet time for us to leave, after our closing hours I went to see her at her house because she is a friend of mine, I met her crying and cleaning up the mess, I was so touched, I tried consoling her and told her she could come to stay at my house.
She thanked me, OMO I told her that she should collect her remaining balance from the landlord, after three days that was when the landlord heard what happened because he didn't stay in Akwanga, he was based in a different area, they told her that they would repair the roof for her and I told her not to agree because such a house is not strong again and anything can happen, although we still thank God for sparing your life.
I'm inviting @suboohi, @rashid001, and @uzma4882
