Real Life Captured #68: Guayaquil Ecuador! Part Six (13 photos)
Hey there my Steemit friends! Come along and let's a stroll down the boardwalk here in Guayaquil Ecuador. Many of these photos are of the Melecon 2000 along Rio Guayas. They have a shopping mall, 3-D movie theater, super market, botanical gardens and more!
We can see kids getting what used to be my favorite, cotton candy! Wow that looks like fun, I wonder if they'll allow a 35 year old "Travel Pro" inside that giant green ball floating on the water? Need to get some cash out of the ATM? Better get in line! We also venture down some random streets and see what we can see.
Look, a woman burning and selling incense and another one as well. That poor lady doesn't look so happy selling fruit on the street. We head back over to the river and we see the booze cruise ship! That old pirate ship looking sail boat leaves most evenings on an all you can drink fiesta for about $25 dollars. Now let's check this place out!

Love real-life photos!
It'd be cool if you captioned each photo! :)
So weird seeing this. Guayaquil was one of the first places I went when I first traveled overseas ten years ago. Haven't been back in 9 years and it your pictures of the Malecon look just like all the ones I took back then...before I even had a smart phone haha who knows what happened to those pics
I didn't make it to Guayaquil when I travelled in Ecuador, but it somehow looks familiar!
The botanical gardens could almost be the central square; I love how the central squares built by the Spanish are a bit different in each country; in Bolivia it is the plaza (central) in Perú the plaza de armas and in Ecuador the call it parque central since there are so many plants!
When are you heading to Peru?
I agree. They all have their own latino flair in each country. I'm hoping to head to Peru around the middle of February. Steemit has kind of turned into a full time job for me. So I'm traveling way slower than I used. My internet barely works, and even getting this message off to you is a challenge. I'm in the Galapagos until Thursday. Then I'm heading back to my hotel in Guayaquil for another week to edit a 1000 more photos, and write as many posts as I can, so I can keep up with the posting while I travel. 14 good post a week, certainly doesn't "just happen" lol
What's new with you Julian?
I can tell from your posts that they take a lot of time! I know how frustrating it can be to get fast internet in Latin America :D So enjoy your time offline as well, I am sure this is quite easy on the Galapagos!
In 11 days I am flying to Sevilla and will travel to Morocco from there. Can't wait!
Thanks buddy. I've been outside a lot enjoying nature. But today is like a day inside out of the sun.....It's obvious I'm feeling way disconnected and having a bit of internet withdrawls. It's took me over an hour to finally get my email open today! The interent was out all together from 11-3pm! Luckily I'm in chill mode and just relaxed and watched some shows on my computer. I literally can't go out side today. I've taken so much sun, I'm a bit ill, burnt, even have a touch of the fever. But I have certainly had a great time. Looking forward to getting back to my base camp in Guayaquil where I'll catch up and plan my next move.
Sevilla and Morocco sound awesome. That's going be a lot of fun! I'll be in touch! -Dan
Haha, I don't think that you could get too old to do fun stuff! Did you get into the green ball? 😍
Anyway, if you are into traveling, pole dance or self-development, feel free to check out my channel! Otherwise have a fantastic day. HUGS💛
Thanks for your nice comment! Unfortunately no I did not get into the green ball :(
Yes I am into all three things especially Pole Dancing! lol......
Remind me when I'm back from the Galapagos in a week, and I'll make sure to take a look at your page. Here the internet is so bad, I can barely get this message out.
Have a great day! -Dan
Ah... maybe next time then, haha! Well, check out my channel! I will post a lot more in the near future, especially pole-dance videos, haha 😉
Great timing. I'm back in Guayaquil. I'll check out your page now.
I've never been to Ecuador. Thank you for an interesting report!

It resembles what Venezuela used to be. Beautiful and colourful place alongside a mighty river and near the sea. Very colourful street life and well groomed public parks and squares. A question about the kids inside the bubble, how much oxygen do they have inside that plastic bubble? If the bubble has holes so they can breath, does water get inside?
I surely hope Venezuela returns to what it once was. You guys have gone through a full blown economic catastrophe. So unfair to the everyday person. As far as the bubble with the kids inside. No water gets in, and frankly, I have no idea regarding fresh air for them to breath. Thank you so much for stopping by! -Dan
