Bonfire talks: We live our lives based on guesses
I spent my weekend in nature with my friends. It was a cool experience, which ended up in the best possible way - we spend a couple of hours talking about the meaning of life in front of a bonfire under the stars. Yes, there is nothing more powerful than a good discussion. Anyway, let's get to the point.
I understood that we shape our lives based on guesses.
The discussion, which started slowly evolved into one of those "What's the meaning of life and what's after death?" kind of stuff, which cannot be answered nor has an actual meaning. Still, I think I learned one lesson. I understood that none of us can know what is after the death, but we all shape our lives according to what we believe is after the death.
Think about it. If you are an atheist, you don't really care about anything that happens after you die - it means your goal in life is to have fun and pleasure. At least that was one of my friend's position. And when I asked him if you believed in after-death, would you still want to live the same? He, of course, said no.
It means that he is shaping his life based on a pure guess, isn't it funny? And we all do that, to be honest. My beliefs form what I am, how I behave, and what I do with my life. Sadly, I have no proofs to support most of my beliefs (at least the ones with magic/after-death/karma involved). So what the hell? Am I just a random little person who floats in the universe without any knowledge?
Well, I have a solution for that. I decided to always look at the results of my actions. Screw all religions, including atheism. If I do something, I must see the results right away. That is the only way to control something.
Never believe in spiritual people who claim that you'll see results after you die. That is bullshit. Results come right away.
Please, never fall for those charlatans, who come after your money and health and feed you with fake promises and sweet talks. There is no point in anything if there is no actual result which you can see with your eyes. Same goes to atheism.
I do not know what happened when I die, but what I do know is that in this world, is where we suffer and where we enjoy things, so I live giving the best and discarding what imprisons us, I am my own religion.
Well, I believe any religion/non-religion should be based on giving the best of yourself to others and helping each other. Funny how we wouldn't need no Gods then.
I really can't worry about life after death because their is so much more I want to accomplish now to worry about then. To look to the afterlife just takes away from my current life.
Well, I believe that we have to keep accomplishing things which might benefit us after we die. So you know... there is a big difference how we act when we believe or don't, don't you think so?
We create our own realities. Live NOW! :)
When I was a kid I always felt like I had no idea what was going on and everyone else knew something I didn't. I was relieved, but sad, when I found out no one else had any idea what was going on either.
Yeah, I know that feeling! It is rather bitter sweet, but more sweet than bitter imo :D
