Budgies

Do you know these little cute parakeets? I think everyone as a child have seen some photos and maybe you like myself have also had a wish to have some of them at home.

I remember that we as kids asked our parents to have parakeets, but we never thought that it will come true. One day when it was summer and we had summer holiday, we were bored and always tried to find some games for playing with my friends.

One day our father arrived from his work he had something in his hand and it was covered by some clothes. We were surprised and I remember run to our father and wanted to find out what it was. To our surprise once the clothes was taken off we found that there were two little cute parakeets. One light blue and another was lemon yellow. They had a beautiful cage with some toys for them. Few robes so that they could climb, play and also to swing, there was a little wooden house for the birds and we noticed that evening they were climbing in and stay over night in this little house.

Our life was busy with these birds and we spend a lot of time with cleaning, playing and just watching them.

One day when we woke up we noticed that it was only one bird flying around, we then looked into the cage and found that the second one was lying in the little house, without any movement. We called father to check them up, after he took one in his hands he said that the bird is dead. Of course, our father removed the body and we burred it in our garden. Since then the second bird became less active, it was sitting there and looked like it was in his own thoughts.

Our papa was concerned, he said those birds are unable to survive without partner. We still hoped that it is not true, but in about a week, we found the second bird in little house and it was also dead.

Since then I was very sad and never had any parakeet any more.
