The spirit of the four legged nation spoke to me this fall
My vessel is indigenous to this planet and I've been learning how to interact with spirit and reconnect with the other nations. I've learned much from my friend and brother Sweetgrass Sitting Bear. This fall, while I was walking around the land that we steward, the four legged nation approached me. Three times I came face-to-face with white tail bucks of various ages. We stood there and looked at each other for what seemed like a minute or two but was most likely 15 seconds. That happened within a two day period. The closest encounter was a mere 60 feet apart from one another.
On another outing, early in the morning I was startled when a herd of approximately ten elk came crashing through the bush and stopped about 50 feet from where I was standing. Again, they stopped, looked at me and then took off towards the east - which represents spirit and the divine masculine.
On some recent outings I came across moose laying in the bush and I did not notice them until I was about 30-40 feet away from them. Keep in mind that getting this close to animals of this size is dangerous and I would not recommend it to people who are foreign to these beasts or the spirit that governs them. So I looked up the totem for these three animals to see what their spirit represents.
Trust your instincts to guide you through this situation - Deer
Your sense of community is strong right now. Seek out like minded people for energy exchange and ideas and take up the cause or common goal. There is opportunity hidden within this course of action. - Elk
Share your joy for it is contagious! - Moose
The moose totem also said " Know and understand that you – and only you – have the authority to make your own choices in life. "
I've been making some changes, moving from Facebook to Steemit, working on building community with my neighbours around the land we steward and stepping up as a mentor for others who are working on an evolution of consciousness. Spirit spoke to me this fall and confirmed that I AM on the right track. What was required is that I stand and be silent long enough to listen. Spirit speaks a language older than words and it is time that we quiet the mind and have the eyes to see and the ears to hear.
I've never experienced anything like this in my life and I lived to tell the tale. I was not going to share this story, but again, spirit moved me to write about it. But what this proves is that the work we have done over the last ten years to reconnect to the land is working. The plants and animals are responding to our presence and helping us figure out the natural laws that govern this planet. We have ignored these laws for far too long and instead have created our own. Those man made laws are destroying everything and so we have dedicated our lives to re-learning the ancient laws that govern life.
It requires full submersion and complete commitment to the learning experience. This is not something that you can do on the weekends. It takes years of dedication, patience, openness and connection to spirit. My heart can feel the beasts now. I know when they are close. It is an astounding experience that we all should be learning. But we cannot do that if they are sick or we refuse to listen.
The plants and animals are telling us something. We just need to stop and listen for our lives depend on it. I'm sorry, but chainsaws don't take great pictures, as such I have no pictures to share in this regard. This was a sacred experience. Please treat it as such.
Here is a picture from www.whatismyspiritanimal.com. I hope this helps those who want to take this journey.
Ooooooh I love the guidance that each animal held for you...especially MOOSE!! I really look forward to learning more about what they are teaching you about natural law...so heartening...I'm smiling <3 :)
The animals do seek you out. I don't have to go looking for them. I love that they are coming to my homestead and lingering here. I just sit and watch fascinated by the creatures great and small. I listen and sometimes I hear. I am still learning and I think the animals sense this. This is a life journey not to be rushed.
Absolutely! Bravo!
Elk are notoriously wary of humans so a close encounter like that is unusual.
So you live near Tawatinaw? I remember from another post of yours that you took your son to see a naturopath in St.Albert.
We are currently living south of Edmonton but will be moving to our land West of Edmonton probably next year.
Yes, we live near Perryvale actually, on the west side of the highway and the valley. I did not realize you lived so close. I look forward to meeting you one day!
There is a lot about my life that is unusual. :)
I also look forward to meeting ☺️
Wow thats really amazing! I am still a beginner finding my way. Hope to find the right path one day. I enjoyed reading your post and thank you for sharing :)
It does take time and patience. Hang in there. They will come to you. You do not need to go to them. They will seek you out and help teach you. As your awareness and consciousness grows, you will notice more and more animals around you. Plants do the same thing as well.
Wow thats amazing. I will check your website as well!
Not much there to be honest. I have far more information here than there. :)
I am already following you here and will check your other posts as well!
nice post, you say right, thanks for sharing
