2017 Review Part 2

in #actor8 years ago (edited)

If you haven't read my part 1 then go check it out, the reason I split it up is my year literally was in two parts plus it would of been a long post

So my neck was bad and the start of the year wasn't as blissful as I wanted it to be.
I was off work for 2 months and really couldn't do much the best I could do was to watch YouTube videos about acting and read books, books and more books.

I started classes at the end of Jan and I Instantly fell in Love with acting, it's one of those creative things that just give you that adrenaline rush and make you want to do it time after time.

I took 3 different classes a week to figure out which ones would be best suited for me and currently I only take one a week but have started a few online which I will get into down the line.

My main goals for the year for acting was to get on Spotlight and to gain an agent, two things an Actor needs! Luckily my friend J Dawg (James) bought me a book for Christmas called 'How to Become and Actor'.

Yes I know how that sounds but its a direct and concise book with a list of things to do at the end.
And on it it said what I needed and how to get it.
Thankfully I managed to get onto Spotlight and am very happy with my Agent (after my last failed).

After doing a few Short film for students I started to gain confidence but I was doing these for free until about June time I managed to get 3 paid jobs. At the time I felt amazing and ecstatic that someone is paying me to act, this is crazy!.

During the summer I managed to bag a job working at Revolution about 0.2 miles away from the Stadium where the Champions League final was taking place between Juventus and Real Madrid. I'm a huge football fan so to be this close and hear the atmosphere from the crowd before the game was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

So what I was basically doing here was putting VIP wristbands on the important people who were invited here by PepsiCo. Free Pepsi for everyone.

I've got so much more to say but I can't write it all down, but to end the year off I got an audition for an advert and I had to go to the official Spotlight HQ. This is literally crazy because my goal was to get on Spotlight and here I am on Spotlight and even got to go to the place. That topped my year off perfectly.

I can't wait to share more with you guys.

Thanks for reading,

Wyn
