Hunter's comment

Hello Friends...
I found a cool product that I feel is worth sharing...
PaperBrella is an umbrella made from recycled paper. It is made for one time use and is completely disposable.
Being made of recycled paper makes it eco-friendly.

Sometimes the weather forecast is wrong. I feel embarrassed when there is a sudden amount of rain when I don't have an umbrella. When that happens, I buy and use an umbrella at a nearby convenience store. So there are many umbrellas I bought like this in my house. I think it would be good for many people to have an umbrella made of recycled paper that can be purchased cheaply in case of sudden rain.

Hi hunter,

I really love the recycled material. As a believer of using technology to make a greener future I'm very happy to see this type of products. Recycled paper produce uses 80% less water, 65% less energy and makes 95% less air pollution. PaperBrella is 100% organic. So even after using, it's not going to hurt the environment.

On the other hand there is no clear price. They promise you a signed PaperBrella for $100 and 3 of them for $200. These are not good market prices.Maybe it's because they sign the PaperBrella. They really have to work on getting people into buying.

First of all thanks for sharing this. The idea is really cool. I mean who love to carry the umbrella all the time! This can be a smart solution . Also it's environmental friendly. We don't have to worry about losing our umbrella anymore.
Great find!

What I like about this is that since it's disposable, I wouldn't have to worry about carrying a wet umbrella with me after using it. It's also a great replacement for hotel umbrellas so that guests won't have to worry about returning them afterward.

My only concern is how durable are they? I'm sure it can withstand a little rain, but what about a heavy downpour? It's a great project, though. Hope they get the funding they need.

Okay, since this is disposable, I believe it will be cheap, right? If it's anyway close to the price of regular umbrellas, then it's a No. Also, we don't know how long it will last. You can be in the rain for hours with regular umbrellas, if this one can withstand it, then it's recommendable. No one likes carrying umbrella wherever they go. If this is available at every junction at the right price, then it's cool.

Nice hunt, though.

How much is the price compared to the normal umbrellas? Well, an eco-friendly material that will save our mother earth.

The fact that it is made of recycled product is perfect for me. And obviously, it will be quite affordable.
Awesome hunt.

an innovative way to take care of the environment, we must try it, if it is resistant it can be very successful, I just hope not to regret in the rain when using it, but it is a great initiative.

What is the point of a one time use umbrella?! A typical umbrella is 5 pounds that will not last long but will still last me 2 months. This has to be like 50 cents for me or anyone to buy this. This is such a dumb product being sold under this eco friendly tag. If the govt has to install these then why not have standard umbrella points and how many machines will they install. I mean this is so ridiculous.
