BMW presents an electric version of its X3
At the Beijing Motor Show, BMW unveiled a conceptual version of the iX3. It is neither more nor less than a prototype of an electric X3.
Introducing this sport utility vehicle (SUV), the German manufacturer has advanced some technical data. Powered by a 70 kWh battery, the iX3 develops 268 horsepower.
As an indication, the conventional X3 generates 248 horsepower.

n terms of autonomy, BMW announced that the iX3 could travel up to 400 kilometers. Do not pack too quickly since this autonomy has been calculated according to European standards that differ from North American standards.

It is legitimate to imagine that this SUV could be commercialized in the near future. Indeed, its design intimately linked to that of the X3 that we already know does not give us the impression of being in a sci-fi movie.
It is in China that will be produced this electric SUV. It should begin as early as 2020.
It is still too early to talk about price. BMW has also not indicated its interest or disinterest in marketing it in North America.
