Open marriage

Divorce lawyer: I don't think marriage and love have to do anything with another.

First of all I don't see any point in getting married.
Secondly: What is the point if you want your privacy and do as you like? The only benefit might be taxes since there's nothing you can claim or expect if you are in an open marriage the way it's stated by this contest hosted by @boylikegirl

Freedom for both so no sharing bedrooms, no right of sex, no free cook, company, shared bankaccount, no one to listen to your complaints or travel with. Unmarried is a better solution. Open marriages don't work on long term. In the end it's always a pissed guy who can't cope with "his" wife having a life. It doesn't sound healthy, stressful it is and for guys who love the kick of cheating it's no plus either.
Solution for gay people who like to keep up appearances for friends and family or the VISA deal?
I have nothing against a deal but it disgusts me to get married, call it "the best day of my life" and next ask for your freedom and go for free sex. Have the courage and stay single to get whatever you want out of your life. No one forces you to blah blah those words of honour and respect, in good and bad times which most never will stick considering the high numbet of divorces and beaten up wives. Marriage and divorce make a great business.
