The fear of God brings blessings
To fear God does not mean to be afraid of him, on the contrary, the fear of God is to be governed by his precepts and statutes, to love him, to recognize him as our savior and to live a life according to his word.
Psalms 112 teaches the following:
1 Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, And delights greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty in the earth; The generation of the upright shall be blessed.
For those who fear God it is no sacrifice to be guided by Him, rather it is a delight to keep His word, to obey His commandments, and this brings with it endless blessings that overflow to their children, the Bible promises that they will be a successful, blessed and powerful generation.
A God fearing person will surely be surrounded by blessings and his soul and everything he does will prosper, the fear of God implies honor, respect, dedication, effort, and putting our eyes on Jesus to never deviate from his will.
The fear of God will always lead us to be safe and to believe in his goodness and mercy, the presence of God will always be in us because our heart will be willing, and will be able to listen and receive strength and direction.
To fear God is to walk in his ways, and to be in his ways means to live his word, to make it real in our lives, God promises in his word provision and help for those who fear him, if our children grow up under the fear of God they will enjoy a life with promise.
The great secret of the fear of God is that it produces in us obedience, and this obedience generates that we reverence a true God who fulfills his promises in us. When we live this way in our being there is no anguish or fear for what is to come because we know that God will always act in our favor.
A life filled with the fear of God will always be an example to others, we will act in favor of our neighbor and we will follow every step that the Holy Spirit directs us, feet God will know that he can count on us because obedience will allow us to have a receptive and sensitive heart to his commands.
