The light of life

John 8: 1212 "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

By the word I have come to understand that the man who does not have Jesus in his heart is someone who walks through life in darkness, everything seems good because he does not know how to discern what is wrong or good.

Jesus knew very well that a person in this world without the guidance of God would be subjected to eternal darkness and would be dead even though physically he had life. since the book of Ephesians 2 tells us:
"And he gave you life, when you were dead in your trespasses and sins"
The man without God is spiritually dead and subject to all kinds of crime and sin.

but when we raise our eyes and recognize that we need Jesus then we begin to look differently with the truth because we have been rescued from darkness to light.

This world, although it has a lot of attraction to offer, has nothing to do with the light of life that this verse speaks of, that is, with Jesus. The world offers many things but all of them are temporary. However, what Jesus offers us is eternal.

Today is a good day to say: Jesus, thank you for one more day of life for always being by my side and being the light of my life.
Thank you for one day your grace reached me and today I can see life in a different way.
Where Jesus is there is no darkness because He is the true light and darkness recedes before the light.
