Most of us who are deep into the Christian faith are likely to be divergent on this belief given that the holy book does not concur with this but rather has a varying view on it. But we need to know what reincarnation is all about before making our points known.
Reincarnation is one phenomenon that entails the spirit of the dead coming back into a living body, especially through the newborn to continue a life they couldn't complete in their first life or former world. When one person dies, he comes back again into the world as a newborn with almost if not all of the characters displayed by the former being
Our traditional people or this school of thought from this side of life have remained a strong voice in concurrence with this belief. They believe in their ancestors coming back in another form preferably in human form and now through newborns. But what they have failed to understand is the advancement of science which has tried to expose some of these behavioral similarities.
Genetic factors from human DNA have been a stronger force in this unknown traditional belief that our forefathers anchor their belief system. Knowing this would give rest to this argument in this area called reincarnation. Genetic resemblance can be passed on from generation to generation without any ideological traditional attachment.
At present some physical appearances on my body are also present on my sons. Does it make one say anything about reincarnation at this time? We are both alive and seeing these signs. I am even now well informed that most of our understanding about reincarnation is all about resemblance, same birthmark features, or behavioral similarities.
Therefore, let us change our ideology about these things as the same behavior, birthmark positions, and physical body shapes have nothing linked to reincarnation be it when one is dead or alive.

I wouldn't know what this question is set to achieve as this doesn't even exist anywhere. Since I am not a believer of this in the first place, I do not see how the coming back of one would affect the other who is still alive.
Relationships that are built when alive are gone as soon as death comes in between them. This may be the fact when affirming our conjugal bliss as couples, the affirmation that "Until death do us APART" is reechoed. There is no coming back to existing relationships whatsoever. Once death comes, it is game over. What other thing we see thereafter is counterfeit.
Ok, let's look at a scenario where the man dies when the wife is pregnant, and after delivery, she discovers that the same birthmark on the late husband's body was on her child's as well. Does she assume the same wife role for the baby because of the belief in reincarnation? These are just genetic features or marks.
Do you like to be born just like what you are in this life; Or would you wish to adopt any other person's life if there is a reincarnation? Explain the reasons behind your choice. |

My life, my pride. I still want to be born like what I have at present. But in addition to this, my status should be enhanced. In as much I wouldn't want to be anyone or adopt their lifestlye; behavioral pattern, all I needed was a softer lifestyle characterized by less struggling to acquire fortunes.
I do not believe in this to happen but if given another chance to exist, I only needed to change my financial and career status in such a way there is ease of achieving all-around goals and endeavors without pressing too much exist.
In summary, my present life is good. No reborn needed but rather an abundance of wealth to be blessed with and also become a blessing to others around.

Indeed, for those who don't subscribe to the notion of reincarnation, the idea of someone returning in another form doesn't hold much weight in affecting existing relationships. The finality of death often marks the end of the connections we forge in life, as symbolized in vows of "until death do us part." Once that threshold is crossed, it's a closure of sorts, where any semblance of continuation is seen as artificial. Exactly. My point. We do not have any say with the dead as soon as that happens. No gainsaying we should anticipate any form of communication that or rebirth from them. Thanks for engaging.
Nicely written sir, it's true that genetic resemblance is what our people usually refered to as reincarnation. When I was younger, I was made to believe all these things since I grew up with my paternal grandmother.
Growing up with such people and in the village can make you believe everything. It was very incisive reading through the post.

You added a very nice point on reincarnation. I believe generic factors contribute a lot in resemblance and striking appearance. Overall their is no mandatory connection of life after life.
In our culture, we have many scriptures and Ancient Books like Vedas and Puranas which gives great ensight on these topics.
