Last weekends, my friends bella and rufela from cebu went to Bacolod. I already wanted to go back to Bacolod for a while since I stayed here before for a month with a friend, and my group of friends there is amazing! But this month in Bacolod is special, especially last weekend so I decided to go back to Bacolod city!

This month is special because of Bacolods biggest party of the year, Masskara festival. The festival is already almost 50 years old. The locals are dancing with traditional masks. It looks really pretty and colorful! And last weekend was the main event! We couldn't wait to see all the colors! Because the dance shows are not the only colorful shows.. There is also the firework show! At friday, saturday and sunday, we could see the firework.
The sound was so loud and so many colors! The kinds of firework they are using here In Bacolod city are illegal in my home country, the Netherlands, that's probably one of the reasons that I am so amazed by it. On Sunday was the championship of the firework, the big finals!.
The location was the new goverment center. When we arrived, the show didn't start yet. i
I felt so lucky! In front of the goverment building was the mayor of the city talking. The government center itself is a big white building. In front of the building is a big piece of grass with a fountain. Only that looked already beautiful! The whole area was full of people, and I understand why, firework is not so common and it is amazing to see! The light is going up, explodes and the twinkling pieces of fire are slowly falling down.. It is like magic! I am sure if I saw it that evening for the first time, I would believe it is magic!
