Located near the Pyramids of Giza, it is the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization.
After more than twenty years of planning and construction, with an investment estimated at over one billion dollars, this massive project has moved from a dream on paper to a monument worthy of a civilization thousands of years old.
Today, we can admire over 50,000 artifacts from various eras of Pharaonic Egypt, including the complete collection of King Tutankhamun, featuring more than 5,000 pieces — displayed together for the first time in a presentation that combines precision, beauty, and scholarly research.
But the opening is not just an archaeological or tourist event…
It is a cultural and artistic declaration, reflecting the power of the past and its influence on the present, giving artists, researchers, and visitors an unmatched source of inspiration.

In a previous Steem post, I shared my amazement at the Royal Mummies Parade… one of the most magnificent events in modern Egyptian history.
That day, the world watched in awe, as Egypt showcased art, heritage, organization, and dignity… making everyone proud to be Egyptian.
Today… we continue that spirit.
Today, we talk about the moment we have all been waiting for.
The Grand Egyptian Museum GEM opening — the largest archaeological museum in the world, finally a reality after years of preparation.
And the opening?
It was beyond imagination.
The music… the lighting… the show… every detail crafted with respect and feeling for history.
It feels as if history itself is waking up, saying:
“I am here… back in my rightful place.”
I personally watched the ceremony multiple times, and every time I discover new details and new beauty.
