FungiFriday - Mushroom found near birches
Another type of mushroom that grows under my birch. I do not take these mushrooms, because I do not know whether they are edible or poisonous. It seems like it's some sort of Lactarius that I just do not know. The photo is not so good for identification, because it is difficult to recog nize it.

I think it's a boletus
No, it's definitely not boletus
Interesting! I don't know what it is, but you got some really nice photos of it! :)
thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
If these mushrooms are part of Lactarius, they are edible (even if they have a spicy taste). However, since you are not sure, this is the best decision: photograph them and walk away. 🙂
This is the best solution! ;)
What did the underside look like? kinda looks like a bagel
:P
From the bottom it was like russula
howdy from Texas yetaras! I don't know if we have this type of mushroom in Texas but it looks like an interesting one. Great photos!

No, I do not eat mushrooms if I do not know exactly what it the type of ones!
That's a good looking little mushroom. Some of these will pop up overnight after a rain. Good idea not to eat it or even touch it. Even the spores can make you really sick if you don't wash your hands immediately. Great photo!
