The feeling that comes with cancelling plans you made can be refreshing.

How true is this?

Hello my fellow steemians. Welcome to another day in my life. Hope we are all doing okay.

The night was a short one for me. I guess it’s because I had to stay up late to put my files together for school. I wanted to go to school today to photocopy some of my papers for my department.

Just as we would have it, life, or the day had its different plans for me.
The saying that man proposes, but God disposes is true. It shouldn’t be used in the wrong context though.

After sorting and putting my files together, I went to help with grinding of corn. Since we process and sell pap for a living, we never joke with it.
When I got back, I did my chores, and settled for a mini-beauty exercise.

I had my hair packed for almost three weeks after the retouching. I don’t like to keep my hair without braiding it, but just because I had it relaxed a couple of weeks back, I decided to allow it breathe for some days.

My cousin helped with the braiding, and it was a fast one.
Right after that, I went back to my bedroom to relax for some minutes. Guess what? I woke up in the afternoon.

Awful, right?

That was how my plan to school was cancelled. Since I had another plan for the day, I stayed with that one.
I rushed to my secondary school to get my original WASSCE result. It was time to get it back after so much procrastination, so I went.

At least, I needed to achieve one thing for the day.
On arrival, the vice principal told me I had to come back since they needed to search for it.

With the high cost of transportation? I asked myself.
I was willing to wait, but the vice principal said he wasn’t sure when they were going to find it.

I left the school to the bank to get some cash for dinner. Then I went home.

Two minutes after I got to the house, my phone rang. I picked it to hear that my result was waiting in the reception for me to come pick it up.

Same result I was told to come back some other time. I looked at the sun was literally burning, the time, and the transport fare I had to spend again.

Just to get done with everything the same day, I got my shoes and stepped out immediately for school.
If I had waited for later or tomorrow, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it back till another time when it’d be so urgent.

Today’s moral: Don’t wait for later. Later can be take so long, later may never come. Later is like waiting for perfection which doesn’t exist.
