Sammeln für St. Martin und PowerUpDay

Guten Abend liebe Hivians,

Heute war der Tag wieder voller Aktivitäten, wobei die Actifit-App nur das wenigste gezählt hat. Der Vormittag begann mit einem Crossfit-Workout, bestehend aus:

5 Runden von je:

300m Laufen
30 Box-Jumps und
30 Wall-Balls

Im Workout bin ich bis zur 5. Runde gekommen. Ich habe den Lauf und noch 10 Box-Jumps geschafft, dann war das Timecap von 25 Minuten vorbei.

Walk-to-Earn

Am Nachmittag war ich dann in unserer Straße ein bisschen laufen und spazieren und habe dabei ungefähr € 200,00 eingenommen. Das eingesammelte Geld ist aber nicht für mich. Meine Frau und Ich sammeln in unserer Straße für das St.-Martins-Komitee.

Ich weiß nicht wie weit der Brauch verbreitet ist, aber zu St. Martin gibt es in unserer Gemeinde einen St.-Martins-Umzug bei dem die Geschichte vom St.-Martin und dem Bettler nachgespielt wird. Die Kinder bekommen dann nach dem Umzug eine Martinstüte mit einem Weckmann und noch einer Menge Süßigkeiten. Damit das auch finanziert wird, laufen ehrenamtliche Helfer von Tür zu Tür und sammeln hierfür Geld ein. Manche Leute machen die Türe gar nicht erst auf, einige Leute verstehen einen erst gar nicht, aber die meisten sind freundlich und spenden gerne.

Am frühen Abend fiel mir dann auch noch ein, daß ja heute der erste Oktober ist. Also, schnell noch ein paar Hive aufgepowert und festgestellt, daß alles im geplanten Ziel für dieses Jahr ist.

Happy Hive-Power-Up-Day

Good evening dear Hivians,

Today was again full of activities. The Actifit app counted only the least. The morning started with a Crossfit workout consisting of:

5 rounds of:

300m of running
30 box jumps and
30 wall balls

I got to the 5th round in the workout. I did the run and 10 more box jumps, then the time cap of 25 minutes was over.

Walk-to-Earn

In the afternoon I went for a walk in our street and collected about € 200,00. The money collected is not for me though. My wife and I are collecting in our street for the St. Martin's Committee.

I don't know how widespread the tradition is, but at St. Martin's there is a St. Martin's procession in our community, where the story of St. Martin and the beggar is acted out. After the procession, the children receive a St. Martin's bag with a traditional bread roll and a lot of sweets. To make sure that this is financed, volunteers run from door to door and collect money for this. Some people don't even open the door, some people don't understand you at first, but most of them are friendly and like to donate.

In the early evening I remembered that today is the first of October. So, quickly powered up some hive and found out that everything is in the planned target for this year.
