The diary game : 9/08/2020
Today at around 7am, I began off my day with some 20 pushups. I am a sports man and I like working out inorder to keep physically fit. Physical fitness is a valuable thing to do very early morning as you prepare yourself for the day.
I then proceeded to steemit and checked if there were any updates, notifications on my account such as comments, upvotes, new followers. Yes! found quite a variety of them. For the comments, I had to respond to all of them.
Curated and commented on about 4 posts for the new comers who are busy participating in the pro-minnow program. I used the steemcurator03 account to do so as a fulfilment of the responsibility assigned to me as a steem greeter. Filled in the data as a way to keep track of their progress. I also greeted a list of about 10 new comers who had just made their first introductory posts.
I had a simple breakfast of chapatis and black tea at around 10:30am. After my breakfast I proceeded to the well to fetch some water. We have not had tap water for now a month in "Mukono" one of the local district in Uganda where I stay. This has been a long time water shortage in the area.
Good enough we have a well in the area which is just a few kilometers away from my home. I had to go to the well and fetch some water to use for some domestic work. Water is life and it's a basic necessity of life. I went to the well with 2 yellow Jerrycans.
That's the picture of the well where I fetched the water. Forgive us for the dirty surrounding. This is Africa and most times the wells look just the way you see them. It's a free public water fetching point. Most people utilise this well as a last option when there is a long time water shortage on the taps.
There is quite a steep slope near the well. I had to climb it while carrying the 2 heavy jerrycans of water. If there was another way I could dodge this steep hill, I would do so but unfortunately, it's the only short cut to my home.
Carrying these jerrycans is also some great way to do some exercise. My muscles were all well stretched-up as I lifted those 2, 20 litre water jerrycans.
At 4pm I went to some home in Kyungu, a local area in Mukono district around my home area. While there, I coached one tennis student.
At around 5:30pm when we were done with the training. I enjoyed my cake package delivered to me by my tennis student. It was a birthday cake for one of his relative.
The cake was a tasty one. Hmmm...Yummy! "the cake taste is a heavenly one", I remarked. My tennis kids took the photo of me enjoying the cake package he had delivered to me.
Returned back home and went straight to the neibourhood and had some great dinner at around 7:30pm. I had rice, Irish potatoes, and some green vegetables. This meal was accompanied with a glass of pineapple juice.
Sleeping time was at 9:30pm due to the exhaustion of the day.

Well done
What a hard working day, I can imagine. When I was a child, we also had tap water problems sometimes. But anyway, now the water problems are solved for us. I wish in Africa there was no water problem, too!
Have a great day!
The water shortage problems in my country will definitely be resolved. Thanks so much for giving me hope about that issue.
