One of the hardest times to parent a child is definitely during their teenage years. With a lot of hormones just boiling below the surface and the rage of puberty on your child, it can be quite a turbulent period for them. It is important that as a parent, you make sure that you stay with them during this period. It can be difficult to get them to open up to you at times, but you would have to keep trying. Here are some tips which would help you to get along with them;
• DO NOT JUDGE: one of the major fears of teenagers is that telling their parents would naturally equate to being judged by them. Due to this fear, it might be easy to get them to be completely free with you. If you manage to reach that level with your child, try not to ruin everything by immediately judging your child or panicking. This will only make them withdraw more.
• TRULY LISTEN: children really appreciate when they are listened to. Like every other human on earth, they also have issues which bother them. When you take your time out as a parent to truly listen to your child, you might learn much more from your child than you could ever imagine.
Children are like a treasure which has been given to you. Make sure it stays that way by communicating with your child.

Interesting posts, in my opinion we must be good at learning to be friends with children but even though we have become like his friends then the rules and obligations must always be maintained and I am sure in this way the children will always be comfortable with their parents

I think parents should never loose contact with their children. And every one should to believe to each other!

I am the mother of two children and it still takes a few years for my children to reach adolescence. But yes, it is definitely a very complicated stage that we all go through, I think the secret is in communication and trust, if you raise your children in an environment of communication and trust, I am sure that in the adolescence stage it will be more easy to approach our children.

Sometimes we make the mistake of why we are older and we are the parents are right in everything, and when our children tell us about something we judge them and tell them that because of their age they do not know about life and that may not be the case, sometimes our children can teach us something about life without needing to be 50 years old.
