The Diary Game: Business Runs And Family Time 6/5/2026

Special greetings to my steemit fam, hope you all are doing well. I started my day with a short prayer to God before taking my bath and went off to the shop for business, I didn't meet my target yesterday so I determined to go early today so I would meet and exceed today's target with God's help. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach when I arrived at the shop but I managed to arrange and set up the shop before taking a sachet drink to calm the pains.

Some hours later, my wife brought me breakfast as I didn't eat before leaving the house. I had a plate in my shop so I turned the food from the food pack into the plate and ate while my wife helped me in attending to customers till I finished eating. I took over from her while she went back home, I don't know if sleeping pills was added to my meal because I felt really sleepy after eating that I had to walk round to be relieved.

In the afternoon, it began to rain heavily and I took in few items I had placed outside for advert. I hoped the rain would stop early so I could go pick up my son from school but it didn't and I put a call across to my wife to find out if she'd go pick our son since it was time but her lines were not connecting and I assumed it should be network glitch so I closed the shop and went to pick my son from school. I got there and saw him in class playing with his friends and when he sighted me, he ran towards me forgetting his school bag. His teacher helped me with the school bag and I went to drop him at home before going back to work.

I got home and the situation I saw wasn't something encouraging, flood had taken over my house and my wife was busy scooping out the water. I handed our son over to her and took over from her, I scooped out the water and mopped it when it was less. I went to the room to notify my wife that if be returning back to the shop and she was busy changing our son's clothe and playing with him as well. I didn't know time was far gone that I lost interest in going back to the shop so I took my wife's advice and stayed back.

It was already some minutes past 4pm and there was absolutely no need going back there, I was thankful I had locked the shop like I wasn't going to come back for the day. We made plans for dinner and ate, took my bath and joined my family in the parlour to entertain ourselves. When sleep came, I went to my room and had a good rest.
