EYES TO EYES

G. Aaa merhaba Serdar sen de mi yurtta kalıyordun.
S. Evet..
G. Bilmiyordum.
S. Ben seni bir kaç kez gördüm kantinde.
G. Hadi ya ben hiç görmedim seni... Eeee nasıl gidiyor.
S. Ödevlerde zorlanıyorum. Hiç anlayamıyorum. Ama bir şekil de halletmen lazım.
G. Hangisi şu hikaye çevirisimi.
S. Evet..
G. Ben yardım ederim sana. Akşam işin yoksa yemekten sonra buluşup kantinde çalışalım istersen.
S. Çok iyi olur.
G. Tamam yaz numaramı.

Numarasını almıştım Gizem'in. Gizem Bursalıydı. Göçmen bir ailenin kızıydı. Beyaz tenli, renkli gözlü, güzel bir kızdı.
O gün akşam olmadı. Sanki dünya durmuştu, zaman geçmiyordu. Zar zor akşam ettim. Yemekten sonra mesaj attım. Müsaitsen inelim kantine diye. Tamam iniyorum. Kantinin giriş kapısında buluşalım dedi. Hemen hazırlanıp, kitabı da alıp kantine indim. Gittiğimde kapı da bekliyordu. Beni görünce gülümsedi. İçimin yağları eridi resmen, çok güzel gülüyordu. Ben de gülümsedim.

S. Kusura bakma çok beklettim mi?
G. Yok bende şimdi geldim.
S. İstersen yukarı çıkıp çay alalım sonra aşağı ineriz.
G. Olur alalım.

Yukarı çıktık, çayları aldık, aşağıya yemekhaneye indik. Saat akşam 10'a geliyordu. Yemekhane boşalmıştı. Biz de masalardan birine oturup elimizde sözlük çeviriyi yapmaya çalışıyoruz. Arada ben ona bakıyorum oda bana. Biraz çalıştıktan sonra mola verdik. Dışarı çıktık. Ben bir sigara yaktım. O kullanmıyordu. İşte bir birimiz hakkında konuşuyorduk. Geçmişimizden hayallerimizden bahsediyorduk bir birimize. O anadolu lisesi mezunuydu ve inşaat mühendisliği okuyordu. Ben de ona aslında bu bölümü istemediğimi sınava tekrar girip. İstanbul'da istediğim bölüm olan sinema ve televizyonu kazanmak istedeğimi söylemiştim.

O gün orada baya kaynaştık. Sabah okula beraber gitmek için sözleştik. Saat 12'ye doğru onu bloğunun önüne bıraktım. Ben ise kantinde oturup manzaraya karşı bir sigara daha yaktım. Sonra odanın yolunu tuttum. O gece uyuyamadım. Odanın penceresinde sigara üstüne sigara yakıyordum. İçimde tarifsiz duygular vardı. Belki de ilk defa böylesine duygular yaşıyordum. Ama gelecek günlerin ne getireceği hakkında hiç bir fikrim yoktu. Zordu ama imkansız değildi.
