Random Short Story: Scarlet and the Magic Orb

Alice and Finlay are playing at the park where the Banjo Concert was due to begin later that afternoon.

“Isn’t it wonderful playing with dolls Finlay?” whooped Alice.

“No way!” said Finlay.

“Who is coming to the Banjo Concert?” inquired Alice.

“Most people are coming!” answered Finlay.

After the kids are done with their childish banters, they decided to loiter around the venue. They then stumbled upon a group of singers practicing, only to notice something odd about the group.

“Everyone’s singing has turned nasty!” shrieked Alice.

“Oh, golly gooseberries!” gasped Finlay.

“Oh no, how peculiar!” howled Alice.

“Definitely. This will for sure lead to grief at the Banjo Concert!” screamed Finlay.

“Uhh, how can we solve this pickle?” said Alice.

“I do not know,” replied Finlay.

As they are ruminating, Alice noticed an odd looking old boots the size of an adult.

“Ah, what’s that kooky looking bulky old boot?” quizzed Alice.

“No idea...” said Finlay.

Suddenly, a bear-like creature squeezed out of the gigantic old boot with a howling noise.

“I am Scarlet of the Animus!” bellowed the the strange bear.

It then approach the kids and started a monologue.

“Ever since Chief Impy and the imps stole the magic orb there have been curious happenings!” shouted Scarlet.

"As the guardian of the magic orb, it's my job to retrieve it and stop this madness!" complaint Scarlet. "If I fail the animus king will—"

"STOP!!!" bellow the Alice and Finlay.

Feeling weary of the bear's incessant complaints the kids cut him off, silencing the noisy Scarlet. Unfortunately, the peace didn't last long as the imps started making more mischiefs.

“Oh, gosh, those grubby imps have some new shifty shenanigans!” squealed Scarlet.

“What stinking imps! They'd disguised themselves with annoying bonnets!” gasped Scarlet.

Sensing scarlet, an imp grinned and starts taunting the bear.

“Titter, senseless Scarlet will never stop our cunning antics!” yelled one of the imps.

Ignoring the fuming bear, the imp fish out an orb from a sack.

“Ahh! The magic Orb!” shouted Scarlet.

Seeing the silly bear panicking the kids decided to do something. After hatching a plan the two went of somewhere while Scarlet chased the imps.

While Scarlet chased the imp holding the magic orb, Alice and Finlay set a trap in the ground.

They then signal Scarlet to chase the imp into the trap. Not knowing better the imp went straight to the trap and fell with an "Oomph".

Scarlet finally got the magic orb after beating the poor imp senseless.

Seeing the Scarlet with the magic orb, the rest of the imps run away in panic—including Chief Impy who ran faster than anyone else.

“Magnificent plan, that worked a treat!” whooped Scarlet.

“Wahey! The animus king won't punish me anymore thanks to you two!” bellowed Scarlet the silly bear.

“Hurrah! Chief Impy and the imps must crawl away!” yelled Finlay.

On the other hand, Alice was more relief that things will be quiter and peaceful after Scarlet leaves.

"Once Scarlet went back, things will be quiter." thought Alice to herself.

After defeating Chief Impy and the imps, everything went back to normal. Scarlet said a hearty and loud goodbye to the annoyance of the kids.

The Banjo Concert then proceed as scheduled allowing Alice and Finlay to enjoy the rest of the day with their parents.
