Nadie pensaba que hace cuatro semanas atrás la vida nos iba a dar un giro de casi 360 grados; una enfermedad que comenzó como una gripe en la República de China que parecía una epidemia más; ahora se ha diseminado por los cinco continentes del planeta llevando consigo un temor sin precedentes y dejando en evidencia que la humanidad jamás esta ni estará preparada para lo evidentemente lo obvio, una nueva selección natural.

No one thought that four weeks ago life was going to give us a nearly 360-degree turn; a disease that began as a flu in the Republic of China that seemed like another epidemic; it has now spread across the five continents of the planet carrying with it unprecedented fear and making it clear that humanity will never be prepared for the obvious, a new natural selection.

Until recently we were infected in eight billion human beings on the planet; living in the most complete social inequality and squandering natural resources like no animal in this world has ever done; believing the owners and master of everything here without thinking that we live on "something" that has life and feels and suffers also like us but that many of us ignore them. Y no será una bomba atómica aparentemente ni un meteorito como el que supuestamente acabó con la vida de los dinosaurios u otra suerte de destrucción masiva sino que la madre naturaleza ha creado su propio mecanismo de control de la población; el cáncer, el sida, la malaria y otras enfermedades aparentemente ya no son suficiente pues el acelerado modo de vida que llevamos y los avances científicos en materia de salud han permitido que aun estando presentes estos mecanismos de control de la población sigamos creciendo como la especie dominante colocandonos definitivamente en el primer peldaño de la pirámide de la evolución.

And it will not be an atomic bomb apparently not a meteorite like the one that supposedly ended the life of the dinosaurs or other kind of mass destruction but mother nature has created her own mechanism of control of the population; cancer, AIDS, malaria and other diseases are apparently no longer enough because the fast-paced way of life we lead and scientific advances in health have allowed that even when these mechanisms of population control are present we continue to grow as the dominant species placing definitively on the first rung of the pyramid of evolution.

La noche se le ha venido a la humanidad en este año 2020 y la amenaza con el arma más diminuta posible, invisible al ojo humano, casi imperceptible a la realidad convirtiéndola en una verdadera historia digna de una película apocalíptica de esas de Hollywood don de los virus salen de laboratorios y convierten en zombies a la humanidad dejando solamente sanos a un porcentaje de ella. Un porcentaje que no representa ni el 10 por ciento que serían los que repoblarían la tierra nuevamente.

The night has come to humanity in this year 2020 and the threat with the least possible weapon, invisible to the human eye, almost imperceptible to reality making it a true story worthy of an apocalyptic film of those Hollywood gift of viruses they come out of labs and turn humanity into zombies leaving only a percentage of it healthy. A percentage that does not represent even 10 percent that would be the ones that would repopulate the earth again.

Lo cierto es que hay mucha tela que cortar en esta historia que apenas comienza y que ha confinado a toda la humanidad a permanecer encerrada de momento en sus hogares ante la gran amenaza que significa la pandemia y sus consecuencias para los adultos mayores y las personas con enfermedades que comprometan el sistema inmunólogico. Ya no veremos conflictos entre países por Petroleo; tierras o recursos naturales ahora la humanidad tiene un enemigo en común y debemos romper toda clase de barreras ideológicas, políticas y culturales para combatir a esta amenaza que promete dentro de poco "limpiar" la tierra.

The truth is that there is a lot of fabric to cut in this history that is just beginning and that has confined all humanity to remain locked in their homes for the very threat posed by the pandemic and its consequences for older adults and people with diseases that compromise the immune system. We will no longer see conflicts between countries over Petroleum; natural lands or resources now humanity has a common enemy and we must break all kinds of barriers ideological, political and cultural to combat this threat that soon promises to "cleanse" the land.
