Somewhere in the land of Odim, there lived a husband, Ebuka and his wife Amaka. They both have been married and were very eager to start a family. Amaka took in months after her marriage and she bore a baby girl. But just 4 months after she delivered the baby died mysteriously. She cried and cried and was comforted, God giveth and He taketh.
Few months later Amaka took in again and exactly 4 months after she delivered her baby girl, the child died again under mysterious circumstances.

This went on the third time and the elder in the family said it was the same child that was coming back(reincarnation). So when the child of the third pregnancy died, the elder took a razor and gave her a cut on her hand before she was buried.

For the fourth time, Amaka took in again and when she delivered her child it was discovered that the child had a cut on her hand at the same spot the elder had made.

This confirmed the reincarnation statement of the elder. To solve this mystery sacrifices had to made to the goddess and Amaka was finally able to have her own children thereafter.

Stories like the above have been passed down to us throughout childhood about incarnation.
There are some children who are named after their ancestors because of the resemblance and are believed to be a reincarnation of that ancestor.

Reincarnation according to Wikipedia is also known as rebirth or transmigration, it is the philosophical or religious concept that the non-physical essence of a living being begins a new life in a different physical form or body after biological death. In most beliefs involving reincarnation, the soul of a human being is immortal and does not disperse after the physical body has perished. Upon death, the soul merely becomes transmigrated into a newborn baby or an animal to continue its immortality. The term transmigration means the passing of a soul from one body to another after death.

For me personally I do not believe in things that can not be proven scientifically. I have heard of people seeing ghost and supernatural beings but I have not seen any.
In my life I have not had anything happen to me that science could not prove.

There was a time I used to have sleep paralysis, this is believed by most religious people in my country to be caused by a spirit pressing someone and that is why you can not move or do anything during that period. Growing up I used to believe in that and it actually used to scare me(maybe it still does), especially when I am alone and it happens. But thankfully I was able to come across it one day on the internet and the eyes of my understanding was opened.

I believe it's the same thing for reincarnation, it is just a myth that has passed down from generation. Tell a lie very often and it becomes the truth.

As I do not believe in the concept of reincarnation itself I can not support this view point. There is a rumour about a certain religious body in my country that is called OOO. The believe their God is reincarnated in Obu a human and this human will undergo incarnation to lead his people. This is just bullocks to me.

Sometimes a child is born and they say she is her Grandma reincarnated. But science has proven that due to DNA, we could have children that do not resemble us but our grandparents or great grandparents. This is also the concept behind hereditary diseases. So I do not believe I can get back my relationship if reincarnated.

Even if reincarnation is real, when you reincarnate you will still be a child and have to grow up and know things.
Except it's possible to transfer your soul into another already developed body and still retain all your previous life knowledge.

Okay this is where we say that if wishes were horses then beggars would ride.

If for any reason reincarnation is real and I had the ability to reincarnate in another person's life then I most certainly would not want to be the same person I am. Why will I chose to be born into a country like Nigeria where life is already leading you by 10-0 and have to suffer for that most basic things?

Nah, I would surely chose the life of a person from a rich family in some European country where I will have wealth and live my dreams.
