1John 5:14-16
KJV:And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

A prayer life is absolutely essential for all believers to live a pleasing and direct life.
Living the prayer life would be largely impossible without a corresponding submission of our hearts to learning and understanding the defining principles of the nature and character of God as revealed in His word.

We have a living father who is always in love and in the business of communicating with us.
The Christian race is eternally impossible without a prayer life because that's the only platform for continuous empowerment for every phase of life.
Even our Lord Jesus prayed before He was empowered for the phase of His life to bear the Cross (Luke 22:40-47)

What Is Prayer?

It is a means of communication with our Heavenly Father
(Matthew 7:7)

It is a platform for empowerment
(Luke 22:40-47)

It opens us up to consistent revelation
(Jeremiah 33:3)

It is a means of assurance
(James 5:16)

Who Empowers Us To Pray?

Romans 8:26-27

KJV:Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We can see that its the Holy Ghost that empowers us to pray.
Often times we know not what to pray for or how to pray but the spirit helps us to pray and to pray well without praying amidst.

The book of Matthew 7:7 says; ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you.
This as well is a form of prayer. You can only ask and seek in the place of prayer
Communicating your needs to the Father by asking and seeking.
And be it known to us that if we ask we shall surely receive. If and only if we ask and its in the place of prayer.

Can we now imagine living our life without adequate and continuous communication with our Father, the only source of our being? A prayerless life is exposed to torment and torture from the devil.
Can you imagine how long people have suffered because believers have refused to wake up from slumber? The Bible urges us to pray without ceasing, in season and out of season.

Therefore let us make praying our lifestyle. Pray NOW!...Don't FAINT!...
