You Watanabe FANART

Hello guys!
So today I want to share my artwork with you guys, this is my fanart based on my favorite character, You Watanabe from Love Live!! Sunshine. She is very energetic and also positive minded girl on that series. And most important thing is.. she is so cute though. (._.)

Here, one of the screenshot from Love Live!! Sunshine, You on her school uniform. One more thing about her, she love to say "Yousoro~!", almost every time. First, I thought, Yousoro is her name, but then, I was wrong. That's not her name and until now, I don't know why she saying that word. Is she weird? Well, 100% Yes.

Well... I am not recommend you guys to watch this anime, if you are never watch any anime, I am not recommend this. Which I mean, it is not a good anime in term of storytelling BUT the series is enjoyable for me. I like it, but to be honest, it is not good but just fine for regular anime fans.

OK! Now, lets talk about the process of my fanart of You Watanabe!

So first, I start with very, very rough sketches of her pose. As you can see, everything look ugly, the line is not control, but I used this process just to fine the right proportion of her body. And I decide she going to do this pose, she looks like she want to walk to the camera. So when I already decide the pose, I need to refine the line, make it look more 3D and not flat.

So now, as I said, I refining the line. And now she looks more 3D and not sketchy. This part is so hard, because I need to control the quality of line when I draw her body. I need to make sure the curve is clean and nice. Now she look so damn hot! Need to put some cloth tho. XD

So, I took this one of her costumes when she is performing on stage. I not sure which episode this costume came from. But I look the design. It's blue! It shows her confidences.

So, based on the reference, I drew her a costume, now she is not naked and safe for people to look at her. LOL
The challenging part while I draw her costume, I need to make sure ALL of her clothing part was correctly blend or suit with the body pose. SO I make some mistake with the collar if you are noticed, the collar look bigger on right side compare to the left. Since, I write this when I already done the color, then I just noticed it, so nothing can be done for me. I am so sorry, I hope this mistake will not happen next time. Pardon me. I am still amateur. SOB SOB

So lets continue! Now I need to put color on her. SO, I start with just plain color with based on the references. This step is so easy, you just color it without thinking anything. It was fun process.

As you can see, the color scheme look joyful, so to add the fun, I need to put more lighting to the character, to show how excited she is. So I try my best to put the lighting to enlighten the mood. Also, I need to limited the uses of black color on this artwork.

So now, ALMOST finish, I want to put some simple background with light and soft color on it. And I am done! YAY

Finally, I am creating a fanart, to be honest I never done anything like this and I happy with it. At least I am drawing someone that I admire. But too bad, she not exist. Haha. ._.
