Scientists invented a new algorithm that enables smart clocks to detect and record each step and move without notice to the holder.

Current smart clocks can recognize a limited number of special activities, including yoga and running, where they are pre-programmed. This new method, which is scheduled to be presented at the International Computer Symposium that will be held in Hawaii from September 11-15, enables technology to detect activities as soon as they occur, not just by practice, but also when cleaning your teeth or cutting vegetables.

Hristan Goryski of the University of Sussex in Britain said:
The algorithm can even follow a stable activity, for example whether you are sitting or lying down. "Existing recognition systems often fail to be active because they are limited to identifying a predefined set of activities, while human activities of course are not limited and change over time.

Goreski said:
Here we present a new approach to automated learning that reveals new human activities when they occur at the moment, which outperform the competition curriculum.

The new algorithm also follows ongoing activity, paying close attention to the transition, as well as the activity itself.
