Hello Steemians! Born in a car/ lions/ sharks
Whats up Steemians! I've been meaning to join this platform for ages since first hearing about it from Jeff Berwick. Very excited to be a part of this revolutionary new way of creating and distributing content.
I'm a wealth manager from Cape Town, South Africa. I have a big interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchains and understanding how decentralizing as much as possible can change our lives for the better.
Here is a bit about me:
- I was born in a car. My parents managed a game reserve out in the bush and they couldn't get to the hospital in time. It was a red Opel Station wagon.
My mother was a midwife, so the car thing should never have happened really. Lol.
I grew up on game reserves in South Africa, so I had a pretty wild childhood. But it was epic.
I love surfing....
...even though we have sharks that jump out of the water to catch seals.
I am a professional downhill skateboarder. Unfortunately the sport is still so small that professional means I still have to have a day job :(
I have a masters degree in science, and worked in the biotech industry for a few years, but decided to change direction and go into wealth management. This was because of my interest in gold and cryptocurrencies. Now I help people create wealth through conventional investments as well as precious metals and cryptocurrencies.
I believe that crypto's can change the world, it only takes communities like this to be that change!
I write a daily crypto price analysis, centered around Bitcoin, but I cover some altcoins too. I'll post it every morning around 7:30 (South Africa time, GMT+2). I've been posting this on my blog every day, but Steemit seems like a much better platform!
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and having some interesting discussions. My hope is that my daily analysis will offer some value to you and you can make some cash based off the insights in the articles.

Whats up man and welcome to Steemit. Super cool introduction post and story. It looks like you live quite an amazing life out there in South Africa. Its always been a dream of mine to vacation there, maybe one day.
thanks man! Yeah South Africa is a pretty amazing place. I've traveled quite a bit and worked abroad for a few years, but SA is definitely unique. Its really cheap to come over here on holiday, one US Dollar is worth about 12 Rands. So you can buy a beer for less than $1!
The beer information is really interesting lol, maybe it will be my next trip after all (it was supposed to be NYC). Welcome on Steemit :)
