Relaxing By The Lake
Hello Everyone
Yesterday, I decided to go sit by the lake and relax a bit. It's been awhile since I've had such a relaxing atmosphere to just sit and take in the view. The view was definitely not a disappointment. A mass of clouds was creeping in over the lake, and the Sun was being sucked into them. The rays of light reached out, trying to hold on to the hope of a beautiful sunset, but the clouds just ween't having it. Their battle was beautiful to watch though.
I headed out onto a piece of land that jutted out into the lake. The area I was staying in was some sort of cove, and it attracted quite a few tourists. The first night that I had arrive, apparently four people got married at the same time, and they took their pictures in the same area that I was choosing to relax in. I was glad it was empty and silent this time.
I found a flat slab of rock just barely escaping the waves, and plopped down on it. The view was spectacular, and the sound of the crashing waves drowned out any other sound that might interrupt my moment of bonding with nature. The lake was still choppy, and a couple of the waves crashed into the rock and sent a thick mist of water over my shoes. I didn't care if I got soaked, I wanted to see the tail end of the war between the Sun and the clouds. The lake was definitely a fine battleground.
By the time the clouds were taking over, I felt refreshed. It was staring to cool down, with the Sun having been defeated, so I decided it was about time to head back in. I'm sure I'll have plenty more chill time, with the lake only being steps away from the RV I'm staying in. I've been enjoying my vacation so far, rain or shine, but views like this really make me appreciate it.
