Main Crops in My Area: Rice and Its Yield
In my area, rice is the main crop widely grown by farmers. Rice is a basic food that helps meet food needs so it is the main pick in farming tasks The fields near our town, mainly those in the low ground, are very fit for rice growing because they have a nice water system and rich dirt.

✅What is the average yield and market price of this crop?

Average Yield and Market Price
The normal crop of rice for each hectare in my place goes from 5 to 6 tons of dry grain. The price today for this grain is about IDR 4,500 ($0.28) to IDR 5,000 ($0.31) each kilogram, based on how good the grain is and changes in market. So the total money that farmers make fro͏m their harvest each hectare can hit near IDR 22. 5 million ($1412)

✅How much does it cost to grow crops until harvest and how much profit is gained from the harvest?

Cultivation Costs until Harvest
The price of raising rice is made up of buying seeds, plant food, bug spray, work, and water costs. For one piece of land, the whole cost for farmers is about IDR 10 million ($627.59) to IDR 12 million ($753.11). This price can change based on the cost of farm supplies and how it’s grown.

Profit from Harvest
With gross income of Rp22.5 million ($1412.07) to Rp30 million ($1882.77) and production costs of around Rp10 million ($627.59) to Rp12 million ($753.11), the net profit earned by farmers is in the range of Rp12.5 million ($753.11) to Rp18 million (1129.66) per hectare per planting season. In a year, farmers can harvest twice, so their annual income can reach Rp25 million ($1568.97) to Rp36 million ($2259.32) per hectare.

Rice cultivation is very profitable in my area, although challenges such as weather and pest attacks often affect the harvest. With good management, many farmers are able to maximize the profits from this cultivation.
