Simple Ways to Add Awareness to Our Daily Lives

in #awarenesslast month

These days, awareness comes up a lot. Aware eating, aware exercise, aware reading As though it were a passing fad we would all quickly forget.

Still, mindfulness goes well beyond a passing fad. Having awareness in our daily lives is now essential since it opens the path to a balanced life.

The world we live in demands us to be quick; we never have enough time and our responsibilities grow daily. The fascinating aspect is that we now consider this way of life to be normal.

We now accept that stress is normal and even that it advances our everyday tasks and objectives.

When did you last feel totally at ease when working on something?

Without considering the last conversation you had, without organising your future moves, or without attempting to mentally compile a dinnertime menu. Should the response be negative, rest assured that you are not alone.

We seem to have forgotten how to be in the moment, don't we? Our brains are truly struggling, even if we believe we have become "used" to this mental effort.

Stressful situations arise in our lives on a daily basis, and releasing the tension in our bodies has been harder.

We have tight bodies, frequently disorganised digestive systems, and incredibly active minds.

Making mindfulness a regular part of our lives, though, can help us deal with these issues.

It is time to resume living in the actual world! Relaxing and being in the present, exactly where you are...

Raising consciousness in our relations with other people
As you speak with someone, how about attempting self-observation? Which thoughts are running through your head?

Do you have your whole attention on the other person and are prepared to listen, or are you preoccupied with your response before they have said anything?

Do you attempt to connect what you hear to your own life and experiences, or do you pay close attention to what they say?

Indeed, we make sense of other people's stories by equating what they are saying with our own experiences, which is entirely normal. Attempting to communicate in a manner wholly cut off from our own history is unfeasible.

It is possible to strike a compromise, though, between listening to the other person with an open mind and not connecting what they say to our own history and being totally engrossed in our own tales and not being able to truly listen. We can walk this middle road only if we are aware.

When one uses mindfulness in communication with others, one makes room to be really present in the present.

When you are really present in a conversation, you are not just paying attention to what the other person is saying but also their body language, their emotions, and how much you are enjoying the moment with them.

To do this, we must learn to set ourselves back a little and allow the other person some room during the conversation.

Though some of us may find this awareness exercise rather challenging, incorporating these techniques into your life can help you build genuine, trust-based relationships.
