The Diary Game: My Weekend Story (16/3/2026)
My Simple But Productive Weekend
Hi my amazing Steemians!!
Welcome to a brand new week. I hope you all had a restful and refreshing weekend filled with beautiful moments.
Let me give you a quick rundown of how my weekend went, because it was simple but quite productive.
SATURDAY

He arrived quite early, and honestly I expected him to come along with an apprentice to assist him, but to my surprise he came all by himself. I watched him closely as he began the work, carefully measuring and fixing things together.

While keeping an eye on him, I also moved back and forth between the kitchen and the sitting room, trying to prepare breakfast and tidy up the kitchen at the same time. You know how it is when you’re trying to multitask at home!
After breakfast, I quickly got ready and headed to the market to buy a few ingredients because I planned to cook okro soup later in the day.

As expected, the weekend market was very lively and crowded. Traders were calling out to buyers, people moving from stall to stall, and the whole place was filled with the usual weekend hustle and bustle. I moved around different shops carefully selecting the ingredients I needed until I was sure I had gotten everything.
With my bag of ingredients complete, I headed back home.

When I arrived, I noticed that the artisan had already made significant progress with the console, which made me really happy because the work was shaping up nicely.

I went straight into the kitchen, washed my hands, and started preparing the okro soup. Honestly, okro soup is one meal I truly enjoy cooking because it is quick, simple, and stress-free. In just a few minutes, everything was done and the delicious soup was ready.

After cooking, I cleaned up the kitchen and arranged everything neatly. I wasn’t hungry yet, so I decided to relax on my bed while scrolling through my phone. Before I knew it, sleep quietly took over and I drifted into a short nap.
Not long after, my mum woke me up saying the artisan was calling me. He explained that he needed to go out and buy some materials, so he wouldn’t be able to complete the work that same day. I agreed and understood. He then packed up his tools and left.
By the time he left, it was already past my rehearsal time, so unfortunately I couldn’t attend anymore.
Later in the evening, I had dinner with my family, and we ended the day peacefully.
SUNDAY

It was a beautiful and uplifting service, hosted by a guest minister. We sang beautiful songs of worship, prayed together, and listened to a very impactful message that left everyone inspired.
After the service, I returned home feeling both blessed and a little tired. Once I had something to eat, I went straight to my bed and enjoyed a sweet Sunday afternoon nap which honestly felt well deserved.
Wrapping Up the Weekend
And just like that, my weekend came to an end. It was simple, productive, and filled with little moments that made it special.
From supervising home repairs, to cooking, visiting the busy market, and ending the weekend with a spiritually uplifting church service, it was truly a balanced weekend.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read my diary.
Bye Steemians, and see you in my next post.
