Splinterlands / Kyraseth Nythlarian : A Guide to Utilizing Zero-Mana Warriors for Victory
Greetings,
Surprise for all the players in Splinterlands, have you seen the mana zero cards in action on the battlefield?
I guess you are an owner of these manas zero cards in your collection. Please do not forget to use the warriors of similar characteristic when you have one more spot left in the process of building your line.
Here is the first steps of my presentation of Nythlarian performance on the battlefield.

I was lucky to find many warriors with mana zero during the latest Escalation packs opening.
It is not a new opportunity for my collection but if it is the case on your journey do let this cards sleep at the back of your collection. They can save your team in various situations.
I still a great fan of “Chicken Furious” who was my first mana zero warrior.
A. Small but Mighty
I was interested to find some cards that will play the easy to sacrifice pawn in the battle.
In some game it is not recommended to add so small performing cards due to the high volume of attacks points but in small mana game you can explore this option.
I found four interesting battles for this demonstration of Kyraseth in action on the board.
You will see in the two first game the victory of Nythlarian team and appreciate the contribution of Two or three melee attacks from his position.
Here you can see Nythlarian in the second last position. It is not the spot you choose to sacrifice your card as pawn. The opponent made a terrible choice placing magic warriors on battlefield.

The winner also had many magic attacks from the friendly side which is not a good practice considering the ruleset. However, the large tanker strategy save Kyraseth team.

The second battle showed a setting with more powerful warriors who did not care about a mana zero warrior.
In fact, Kyraseth was not to be considered in the defense strategy during this battle. What happens was the selection of double types attacks warriors save the Lorkus team. It is a very expensive team to build and Kyraseth had almost nothing to do with the victory.
B. Losses can happen
All battles are not the same and the variable can reflect the weakness in your strategy.
In the arena Kyraseth was positioned all the time at the back and contributed as well as he could, but the game was a lost.

This combat was perfect to select Nythlarian with mana zero as the ruleset place mana below 15 points.
It was smart to keep this offensive warrior at the back, but the opponent opted for a more disastrous plan. Gelatinous cube is the go-to card for this battle because his ability to heal and take in attacks is immense.
Nothing could be done all cards were defeated due to fatigue and Cube was the only one left standing in the arena.

In this last battle you will see the other low mana battle where Kyraseth lost due to event that can happen randomly in the arena.
Lux summoner commanded the team of Kyraseth to war with other magic attacks warriors. The opposition has many counter magic action in the arena ready to backfire at any launch of magic strikes from behind enemy line.
The combat was tough, but Vega team could not survive the extra damage on his position. Kyraseth lost in this combat.

C. Interesting lessons
I love to add these zero mana cards at the line up when I ready to submit, and I found one empty spot left on my selection board.
It is a choice to use similar cards like Kyraseth as Pawn to absorb heavy strike that should have been aiming to valuable asset in the line-up.
The extra melee attack boosted with Lorkus is not a bad idea. My plan is to play as often as possible this strategy to win more battle when it is necessary.

If you do not hold powerful card in your collection you should not favor Zero mana cards instead placing stronger elements in the arena.
It won't always increase your chance to win the battle, but it will be super cool to conduct your team to victory as Kyraseth strongly take actions in the arena.
