Changes in the Air!!😊
The winds have shifted, and down South of Silvertop at the Bolt Creek fire, light scattered showers are helping to keep the Forest Fire as they say…..…….”Quiet overnight”!😇
The official estimate stands at 9,440 acres on fire!
We now have four more Forest Fires burning East of Mt Baker they are called the Chilliwack complex fires. These four fires were caused by lightning strikes, and have burned aprox 6,186 acres! These fires are East of Silvertop, but they are still on the other side of the Cascade Mountains!
You can see how dry it is in the second photo, the grass is crunchy and brown!😲
My White pine trees are just starting to “Brace” for Winter. In the third photo, the needles are starting to turn golden/yellow.
Then they will drop about a third of their needles………
This is the way the tree protects itself during the cold Winter weather.😇
Today’s humidity is holding at 64 percent, and 70 degrees…….. much needed cooler weather!😊
Before Liz and Silvertop hiked today, it was time to “Wrap” Lol!🤣
My three new cords of firewood from this Spring have seasoned as long as possible in the Summer Sun!😎
Before the rains start, I tightly wrapped a tarp over my latest “firewood hoarding” stack!😇🤣
