The Bolt Creek fire on Baring Mountain is still raging!😳
Best guess is that they have two percent of the fire line under control……….
Very steep rugged Mountains, make it difficult to fight this fire!
At the present time I have heard the main goal it to protect lives, and structure’s.
Other than that, it appears that they will let this Forest Fire burn into unpopulated sections of the Mountain.
If it continues in that direction…………
For us up North by the Canadian border, the winds have shifted……….
The air quality went from 197 very unhealthy yesterday, to 62 today!
Can you hear that unified………Ahhh!😇

Jan joined us today, and we hiked up Sumas Mountain across the ridge top for a nice long hike.
So much underbrush is on our Mountain, and everything is crunchy dry, it wouldn’t take much to ignite a wildfire!😳
After today’s hike, it was a quick trip to Church to continue working on the installation of the new sound equipment rack.
This will take a few weeks to complete, Silvertop and Liz are the only ones working on this installation……
It will be very nice when completed!🤗

Wildfires are scary for sure. I'm glad the guys got out of there without injury or loss of life.
As hikers in mountain terrain, I thought today as we were hiking, just how easily a fire could happen in our neck of the forest and how and what we might do should that happen. We are a tinder box right now for sure. I hope we never have to see.
