Damp day in the forest - My Actifit Report Card: December 24 2025

Lulu and I spent a relatively cold and very damp day high up on Lynx Creek prospecting along some old gold mining waste beneath the towering hillsides.

We were treated to a light mist on the mosstly downhill hike to the creek before continuing on the narrow trail to the old mining area. Probably a good 2 miles but I hiked easily and it wasn't too difficult.
I spent a few hours panning out over $200 worth of gold before rapidly dropping temperatures and a sudden rain made for a quick hike back to the car.
We were quite soaked and cold by the time we finished but some hot coffee and heat quickly warmed me up.
Overall a very good Christmas Eve and I'm looking forward to returning in a couple of days.
