My Actifit Report Card: April 21 2026
Another easy day in the forest and foothill trails. Nothing too difficult but it was great to be over at Lynx Lake.
My run was the now usual 5 km trail loop and today it was nothing exciting but my pace was steady and decent. I'll be glad to be back in the Black Hills for the change in scenery and hopefully in much better shape when we return to the Southwest in the autumn.
It was much nicer when we headed down to Prescott for a hike around the lake. Nice weather up at the 6000 or so foot altitude and the lake was quiet except for several cormorants out on the water.
Lulu was ready for action and we headed out first on the paved western shore trail.
Lots to see and she was trotting right along except to pause to greet a few other hikers and their dogs. A refreshing dip in the still low lake before heading back around on the much more rugged and rocky east shore dirt tract.
I'm happy overall but getting more fatigued with all of the needed preparations and packing up for our departure on Monday morning
