My Actifit Report Card: January 23 2026
My legs weren't as strong today after yesterday's running so my morning run was a bit under 4 miles and not as fast but it still was good to get in a bit of trail work.
The forecast was for showers but we encountered only a few light sprinkles on our early morning walk. While it would be nice to have some much-needed precipitation it was good to not get soaked on our 2 miles.
My run was nothing exciting but I need to keep on plugging away to regain some semblance of endurance going forward.
A nice hike on the Jail Trail down along the Verde River in the afternoon.
Despite the gray clouds there was still bits of nice sun and the surrounding trees were full of little song birds and quite a few ducks on the river (even a couple of Kingfishers zipping over the water).
Lulu always had plenty of fun exploring the surroundings while I had a good time trekking along the sandy trail.
Not too shabby overall - off to Lynx Creek with Lulu tomorrow for a day of prospecting.
