My Actifit Report Card: January 3 2026

Felt good to get out for a long hike and gold panning high up on Lynx Creek today, too bad the weather wasn't too nice but the creek was full.

The 2 miles hiking to our spot wasn't too difficult as I was fresh and the route was downhill and then level (but narrow) high above the creek to an old mining area that had been dredge many years ago.

The water was cold and fast so several hours of digging helped to keep me arm while Lulu rested.
Then it was the tiring uphill hike back to the car. My legs and back were really feeling the effort as we headed ip the mile or so forest service road but the exercise was a good substitute for a run.
$40 worth of gold and lots of exercise in the forest - all in all good day.
