Sue Facebook? Why I have a strong aversion against FaceBook. Turn them in and/or see them in court?
Steemers, I'm sure my largest 2016 frustration involves you as well.
If you catch up with my previous posts (found here: https://steemit.com/@johnster) you find I'm volunteering as a FaceBook promoter for http://globalbem.com .
So far I was involved in the promotion for several GlobalBEM events.
My campaign strategies were always OK for a good attendance count.
Then GlobalBEM 2016 came... The attendance count dropped... by 90%.
I was running the campaign more consequent than ever before.
In the upbeat before the conference, we had to make all kind of compromises and financial patchwork in order to pull off the event.
People made arrangements, booked flights and so on, no matter what, we had to proceed and we did.
Scaling down the A/V production team, accommodations and so on... up to the point we only needed 250 attendees to break even.
Eventually, we stayed under 250 by a large margin. Leaving us with plenty of open, unable to discharge, invoices and other financial obligations. Resulting in an aggregated estimated loss of serious 4 digit USD number.
Keep in mind we, as a grassroots organization, are around since 2012.
All of a sudden this came to our attention:
http://www.breakthroughenergycoalition.com/en/who.html
I'm sure their name is NOT a coincidence. Come on:
Our name: (Global) Breakthrough Energy Movement - GlobalBEM or BEM
Theirs: Breakthrough Energy Coalition
Really...? Are you kidding me? It's too close to call.
If you click the link above...
- You find YES, that's FaceBook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the bottom of the page.
Why can't I suppress the thought Mark Z. personally had something to do with the fact our latest FB campaign links didn't fly and our statistics got faked.
See, our posts hardly got commented on, organic share count close to 0, very few likes, none of the posts did go anywhere.
Who was seeing our posts?
Due to FaceBooks provided statistics, several 1000's per post... and nobody leaves a comment, or hit the like button?
Our FB page gained over 24000 likes over the years.
We are participating in a few dozen groups with a potential reach of 250000 people and we're not able to sell out a conference or get a significant number of people on a Livestream??? The 2016 conference was very easy to reach in Central USA, the inbound airport was Austin, that couldn't have been a problem... The Livestream could be tuned into from the convenience of you own home and considered to be a bargain for the offered contend presented.

I'm seriously doubting the intentions of many coalition members, there are so many conflicting interests if you consider the background of the "coalition" members.
At the same time, they have billions to spend, a lawsuit seems to be pointless.
What do you think? Leave a comment and or up-vote is appreciated.

F'em. Fuck all of 'em. Get a 12 gauge.
A lawsuit seems pointless I think. After seeing the names on that *coalition" page I started puking. They'll have all the lawyers bought up too.
