Wow now that's what I call a real adventure, hehe. But I must admit that I'm a little of the both types that either plan in advance the trip, or not. It all depends on my mood. Sometimes is very random - I just wake up like this and go and sometimes I plan every little detail. But both ways are fun, it's just up to us to make every trip memorable. :)
Aye, it's all up to you, planning or not. I could sulk in a village till the evening as an alternative, but that'd be so much worse in the end.
