Photo 1: From The Top of Pulo Dua Island Hills

In the eastern of Indonesia, specificly in Central Sulawesi island, there is a district called Luwuk. In the past, this place is just a hill and sea that meet each other. However, the last 5-10 years, Luwuk began to change into a more modern direction. If you see the location that is difficult to reach by any vehicle from the capital of central Sulawesi, Palu, it is very unique if we see the progress of Luwuk. Stars hotels, fast food frenchise, complete ATMs, even the offices of a modern company, all tangent to hills and beaches that are still very natural. But this paper will focus on the natural beauty in Luwuk.

If you usually have to go through a twisted road to get a waterfall, in Luwuk, you just have to driving a few minutes from downtown to get a natural view of a high torrential, and cold waterfall. One of them is Salodik Waterfall.

When talking about beach, Luwuk main highway flanked by hills and beaches. The beach is exactly tangent to the main highway thet still very clean and clear-blue. There is no filth that makes people disgusted. You could say, if you're tired of driving, tend to pull over and swim on the beach. At some point and a certain depth there are still sharks. But some say they are not meat-eating sharks. :D

I also took the time to climb the steep hill in Pulo Dua. A hilly island that can be reached by riding a boat for half an hour from the nearby beach. But it tooks 4 hour from the downtown. The view from the top of the hill can not be expressed in words. People who have been to Raja Ampat said, Pulo Dua is not inferior to Raja Ampat, especially the beauty of the sea. Those are the beauty art of nature. Reminds me to always keep the environment clean and deliver the good news that Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, has a great area like Luwuk.
