Lands End to John o'groats Bikepacking fundraiser.

Twenty years ago I was a little unlucky and managed to get a broken ruler in my left eye whilst at school. Since the accident I initially had three operations at Salisbury Hospital followed more recently by a further two operations at Southampton hospital. I now have good vision again and thought it was about time to give something back to the two hospitals which have helped me so much.
I’ve decided to do a bit of fundraiser an off road, unassisted, bikepacking trip from Land’s End to John o’Groats, searching out the best singletrack in the country along this rough route. I hope to raise the funds in three ways.

1. Use the hospital charity pages for donations. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/peterlacey3
2. By auctioning any sponsored equipment that I may be donated for me to use on the trip, and ideally if I can manage to get some sponsors I really hope they will also supply a shiny new piece of kit to be auctioned too.
3. I’ll be blogging about the ride pre, during and post on a block chain social media site called steemit any steem generated by these posts shall go towards the charity. (all you have to do is create an account, upvote and resteem it, easy)
   So this is the grand plan, I have no idea if the two less conventional forms of raising money will work but it’s worth a shot. If you have any contacts in the industry that may be able to help please get in touch.
