This initiative is part of the administration's efforts to drive grassroots infrastructural development, ease movement of people and agricultural produce, and enhance access to local markets, thereby strengthening the local economy.

The first phase of the project, executed last year, covered roads from Afaha Obong to various wards in Abak.

The ongoing second phase targets key roads in every ward, with councillors and supervisors overseeing implementation to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. He also commended the council chairman for other developmental strides, including business support grants and payment of bursaries to Abak students.

Beneficiaries, including Chief Emmanuel Gabriel Udofa and Pastor Emmanuel Sunday Nnah, expressed gratitude, noting that some roads had not seen government intervention for over five decades.

This development demonstrates the administration's commitment to improving infrastructure and promoting economic growth in Abak.
