The award was presented at the 4th Agric-Business Roundtable international conference held at Watbridge Hotel in Uyo.
The event, organized by the Nigeria Agribusiness and Agro-Industry Development Initiative (NAADI), South South Zone recognized Governor Umo Eno as a farmer-friendly Governor who has transformed lives in the local areas of the State. The Zonal Coordinator of NAADI, Mr. Howard Usen, presented the award to the Governor, praising his dedication to agricultural development.

In his remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation, Mr Imo-Abasi Jacob represented by Executive Director Agricultural Investments, Pastor Godwin Ukwat unveiled the Akwa Ibom State investment outlook, describing the State as the destination of choice for discerning inventors guided by the economic blue print of Governor Umo Eno's "ARISE Agenda".
Highlighted the legal status and roles of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation as an Investment Trust and holding company of all investments of government, overseeing at the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to ensure entrenchment of corporate governance, profitability and dividend payment.
Executive Director noted that "ARISE Agenda," has shaped a new economy in the State, enhancing the creation of the three economic gateways of Air, Road, and the Sea to drive investments into the State , reiterated that, the Ibom Air remains the best in the sky while the State has one of the best Roads Network in the Country. "The Governor, is tenacious about developing Ibom deep seaport as a major economic gateways",
He highlighted creation of major economic zones, strategic investments in the real estate sector to pilot development in the sector, show cased the state tourism assets , noting that the hotels are to trade under Ibom hotel brand and the creation of energy Assets to enhance investments.
Speaking to the AKICORP's investment portfolio, he noted that, AKICORP has invested in various sectors in the economy to drive Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)as a source of revenue in future.
He opened up the investment outlook opportunities and associated incentives available in the State, ranging from agriculture oil and gas, aviation, power real estate and the State Blue economy, with the comparative advantage of the 31 LGA of the State.
Pastor Ukwat further celebrated the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno PhD for his passion, determination , tenacity and commitment to deliver a better Akwa Ibom State than he met it, urged agribusiness Stakeholders and the public to engage AKICORP for Help, Support, Advice and Guidance using the instrumentality of Entrepreneurship and Business development. He offered an enhanced enabling business environment. Stating that Akwa Ibom State is opened for investments in the GOLDEN ERA, and invited all to Come, Live, and Invest in the State.
