The Diary Game: Family Meeting And Business Check In(19-01-2026)

My sleep was interrupted this morning by noises, sound of plate, and people discussing, I decide not to go out first, but peep through my window to see what was going on outside, to my greatest surprised! I saw my mother, siblings, my uncles and aunty, everyone were outside discussing, I was curious so I went outside to find out what was going on, because it was so unusual, I was about going to meet them when I remember I was still on my night wear, so I change quickly to something better rush out, I first greet them all before asking them what was going on, and was told that we were doing family meeting and also one of my uncle was coming.

I was surprised at first because I was not aware of the meeting and no body told me, but I still keep my calm, I turned back to my room so I can read my Bible and pray, commiting the day ahead to God, after that I went out again, to make enquiry what they will doing, I was told they will cook one of our native soup, prepare pepper soup for the elders, but first we have to go to the market to buy all the ingredients for the soup and other things that we will prepare, so I volunteer to go with my mom to the market so I help her with the bags.

I went to brush my teeth, take my bath and dress up to the market, we left for market, but we didn't see any tricycle we had to wait till one came and we board it, the tricycle was slow so we got to the market quite late, we arrived and the place was crowded with people buying and selling, we first of all went to the part where they sell meat to buy meat, I was shocked how expensive meat is, because it been a while I eat meat, we start negotiating the price! At last we landed in what we were able to afford, from there we move to fish, stockfish, and other ingredients needed for the soup we want to prepare, we bought everything and it was time to go home, we had to trek to the main road before we could we see a bike that will carry us.

We arrived home, and I noticed the compound was swept, tidied and it was clean, I entered the kitchen and all the plate was washed! At this point I knew this people really meant business and They have been planning this meeting without my knowledge, I changed my dress and entered the kitchen, I start by cutting the leaf, slice it and I wash it after done doing that, I boil the meat add ingredients to make it tasting, while boiling the meat I plucked water leaf, wash it and slice it, I keep that one aside too, wash the pot I will use for the soup, I start washing my stockfish, fish, and other things I bought from the market, I was about putting the pot on gas when I discovered that gas is finished, I sent one of my niece to help me take to the gas station, she did it and bring it back quickly.

And I start with my cooking, I start with the pepper soup so I can use that to entertain them and keep them busy before the soup was done, I finish cooking the soup, boil water for eba, make Eba and start serving the food for everyone, my mom came and helped me served others, I ate too and the meeting start we discussed about some family issues and about one of cousin that is getting married, we finished with the meeting and everyone went back to their different destination and I went to my business places to see how sales are.
