The Diary Game: A Quiet Comeback: Okra Carvings, Braids And Real Life(05-05-2026)

Hey'lo @purpleidy23 lovers, trust you good? I haven't been feeling too well and I had to take a break to receive treatment and I've been indoors without much activities that's why I took a pause here as I didn't have activities to update y'all on but guess who's fully back? You guessed right, Me!!! I didn't do much today but I'll still share the little I did with y'all. Earlier this morning, I sent my roommate to buy some food items for me so I could make breakfast with it and upon here return, I took pictures of the item she bought before I began to prepare my meal.

I'm not really a fan of okra soup but that's what I craved for this morning so I had no choice than to prepare it. I had a little fresh fish left from what my friend used in making pepper soup rice yesterday for me so I used it to prepare the okra soup and mehn, it tasted heavenly and satisfied my taste bud without even eating much. When I finished eating, I took my bath and loosed my old braids. I asked my roommate for help but she was too tired to assist me because she had just finished her laundry and it was a heap of dirty clothes which she had worm for more than three weeks without washing any so the workload was really much and she was so exhausted thereafter.

I finally finished loosening my old braids so I headed off to the salon to wash my hair and possibly renew my braids. I got to the salon and told them my intentions and they told me the price which wasn't friendly but I bargained yet they insisted on their price so I took my leave but I was called back and got attended to. My hair was neatly washed and I showed them the style I wanted for the new braids and again, they told me a high price but I didn't bargain this time because I thought that would serve as a motivation for them to give me the exact style I needed but I got disappointed when the boss apologized and said they won't be able to deliver it so I should pick another style for a less price and I need.

I was quite happy that atleast they were honest with me unlike some, who'd go ahead and give a try but I would end up not being satisfied with their work. I did the regular all back weaving and returned back home where I took my bath again before having my nap. I woke up to loud screams from my neighbor who had just been scammed of two hundred and fifty thousand from her POS business, I felt very bad for her and couldn't stand the way she cried and wailed and shit made me want to cry too. I wonder why some minds are just filled with evil and won't like to see others progress. From her story it's not been up to six months since the time she was last scammed, now another affliction. I tried consoling her with words though I knew that won't be of a great help but I wished in my heart I was buoyant enough to support her with a token to get back on her feet.

In the evening, I got dressed and stepped out to see one of my girlfriend who's birthday is today. I stopped at an eatery and bought her some snacks as that's all I could afford, I got to her shop and she was busy attending to customers. I sat down and allowed her to finish before wishing her a happy birthday, I was shocked to see my friend ask me today's date. Like, she literally forgot her own birthday, lol. I handed her the snacks and ate mine before we discussed and I returned back home. As I got into the house, I decided to first make my diary before any other thing so I won't end up skipping it.
