Steem Atlas | Grace Family Commonwealth of Champions — Goshen Church

Today, 4 January 2026, I was invited to fellowship at Grace Family Commonwealth of Champions (GFCC) located at Goshen, Km 14 Nwaniba Road, Ekamba Nsukara, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The church, popularly known as Goshen has been a spiritual home for many Akwa Ibomites and people living in the diaspora.

As early as 6 AM, I got up, dressed up and packed my "content kit" so I could document my visit for the Steem Atlas community.

The journey from my house to the location lasted for about 20 minutes.

Feeling that I might get lost, I turned on my Google map, then informed the minibus driver to let me know when we arrived. However, he didn't have to because as we approached our destination, we saw a big billboard with the flyer below.

I alighted by the main road and started trekking in.

Many people were walking down the tarred street as well. A lady even volunteered to pick me and two others in her car so we don't struggle for the limited auto-rickshaws (Kekes) and buses available.

Gosh, there were hundreds of people walking down one path.

As we approached the place, the first thing that struck me was the landmass. This church has massive buildings (some parts are still under construction though), a large parking lot and extra space for outdoor events.

Next, was their organisation. They had their security team and traffic wardens stationed to handle the influx of cars, minibuses and "Kekes". There was a backdrop and photography as well. As expected, I took many pictures. Would get them later.

The main auditorium is a masterpiece. It has state-of-the-art structures and facilities. From outside, there were steps and ramps, making the building accessible to everyone regardless of their physical abilities. Inside, I couldn't help but notice the high-definition LED screens and sound systems in the hall. As someone who loves quality music and singing, my heart swelled and glowed every time the praise team sang a song.

The service

The worship was awesome. The choir gave beautiful rendition. I sang along to every songs I knew, including the ones I didn't know by watching the lyrics displayed on the screen. The media team did their work with so much precision. Just that they videoed everyone except me, so I'd give them 4/5 stars. 🙄

The sermon? Top-notch!
I found the preacher's message resonating because he wasn't just giving "religious talks" but sharing practical knowledge on how to manage our lives and businesses the godly way.

One more thing, these people are keen on law and order. There will be several ushers positioned to guide you to where you'd sit. The workers arrive at church as early as 7 AM, pray, and get things ready before the main service commences at 9:30 AM prompt. And the toilets are sparkling clean. Even as a first timer, I still felt a strong sense of community being in the midst.

From the pulpit to the convenience, everything speaks class and excellence. If you are visiting Uyo or looking for a place that offers quality music and worship, I'd recommend Goshen City. Just be prepared to have a different encounter as these people love deep praise and prayers.
